Parish Religion Classes

Parish Religion Classes

The Religious Education Program at Sts. Peter and Paul is a comprehensive one which includes pre-school through adult levels of instruction. We are concerned not merely with the imparting of information, but also with the formation and development of faith as a response to the Word of God. However, it must be understood that the religious education provided by the parish serves to supplement, not supplant, the primary right and holy duty of the parents to educate their child in the Faith within the home.

The pre-school and kindergarten program is offered for children 3-5 years of age. The elementary, junior and senior high programs meet on Sunday morning at 8:15 a.m. and begin with the students attending Mass. The program is progressive (one year building upon another).

Registration fees for all programs include books and supplies used during the year.

Adult Education

Sts. Peter and Paul Parish is committed to the belief that adult religious education is essential to the faith of mature Catholics. In this era of change and re-evaluation, it is important for Catholics to be aware of the true and ever-constant teachings of the Church. Even more importantly, these adult programs can be a means of growth in one’s own spiritual life.

In addition to adult religious education programs offered by the parish, parishioners are encouraged to participate, if at all possible, in workshops and courses offered in area parishes and seminaries.

Information concerning adult education programs offered through the parish, or elsewhere, can be obtained by calling the Parish Office at 985-863-7935.
