The Knights of Columbus organization was formed in 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McKinney at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut. The idea was to render financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
Fellowship was promoted by educational, charitable, religious social welfare and other relief works. Today the Knights are still true to the founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. We stand in solidarity with our priests.
