The Antonians’ Giving Tree is set up in the Church for items to be selected for clients of the Pregnancy Help Center in Slidell, Safe Harbor, Inc. (the Battered Women’s Shelter in Mandeville) and Free Indeed Home in Covington, a shelter for underage victims of human trafficking. Please choose a tag from the Christmas tree which will identify the needed donations. Donations should be dropped off in the boxes at the church entrance and in the Church Office before Thursday, December 20, at 4:00 p.m.
Those who would like to donate funds for flowers and decorations for the altar at Christmas will find envelopes at church entrances. If you wish to make your donation in memory of loved ones, please PRINT names LEGIBLY, as all persons remembered in this way will be listed in a special Christmas flyer. Place the envelopes in the collection basket or return them to the Church Office. (Keep in mind available space when listing names.) Deadline is Tuesday, December 18, at 8:30 a.m.
Your Service is needed on the 2019 Pastoral Council. No Experience Necessary. Applications will be placed at the entrances to the church on NOVEMBER 11 (Sunday) or you can apply online by clicking on the image. Deadline to submit application is Monday, November 26, 2018 @ 4:00 p.m.
Are you hungry for donuts, but even hungrier for Jesus? Come join us for monthly sessions that will help you develop a more fruitful relationship with Jesus. Sessions will consist of a short faith-filled video presentation followed by a group discussion. Next session is November 11 @ 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
Join us Saturday, November 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall for a FREE workshop to make a fresh Advent wreath for your home! Materials to make the wreath will be provided. Bring finger food to share and join us for fun and fellowship!
The Altar Society Annual Christmas Luncheon will be Tuesday, December 11, at noon in the Parish Hall. Cost is $17.00 per person. Those who plan to attend must make a reservation with payment by Friday, November 30. To make your reservation, place your name and phone number with payment in an envelope. It can be placed in the collection basket at Mass, brought to the Parish Office or given to May Cabellero, Altar Society President. For information, contact May at 985-863-2467.
The Antonians and the Knights of Columbus are starting their Thanksgiving and Christmas drives to help those in need in our area. If you know of someone in our parish or local community who could use some assistance during the holiday season, contact a Knight, Antonian or the Church Office.
The Knights of Columbus will once again collect items for the seminarians at St. Joseph Abbey in Covington, and the Sisters of the Holy Family in New Orleans East during the month of November. A collection box will be located at the front entrance to the church for the items. The seminarians are in need of personal toiletries and individually wrapped snack foods. The sisters can also use these items as well as feminine hygiene products. We need to support these religious who have dedicated their lives to the service of God and our Church.
